Waiting to go Christmas shopping with my wife and daughter. Might as well draw a bit on the iPad
. The searching lines became a sitting man. Something is off in his pose, but that's ok since I was more concerned with just the lines, or what my Cooper Union drawing teacher called “mark making”. Didn't have a lot of time to spend on it, but it was a nice experimental drawing. Incorporating the search lines is an idea what I've been playing with since my first experiences with Photoshop and what was then Fractal Design Painter (it's now Corel Painter).
Not sure what the holidays will bring in terms of posting to the Substack, but I think I'll be back before Christmas.
For recommendations, I started a bunch of shows on BritBox, but haven't seen enough of any of them to make an informed opinion of any of them.
Movies? I ran threw a bunch of Screwball comedy classics on the Criterion Channel. Sullivan’s Travels (1941), The Awful Truth (1937) and My Man Godfrey (1936). I've seen all of them many, many times, and they're all highly recommend. And Criterion has many more on their channel! A whole bundle of 25 films devoted to Screwball Comedies!
And here's my Christmas music playlist, Christmas! Swingin' Crooners, on YouTube Music. Hundreds of classic crooner tracks! Rock and jazz tracks also! It's a pretty mixed bag. If I run across something I like, I add it to the playlist. It's now pretty unwieldy. You can listen for days!
Until later, thanks for you time and support.
