I’ve been back from New York Comic Con for about a week and I’m finally posing about it! You get home and you have to jump right back into the fray of work and family stuff, which then meant Substack took a back seat.
So quickly for today, here are some sketches that I did for some fans during the show. I’ll post more tomorrow. I’m very appreciative of their support, and the support of everyone who dropped by the table for art, autographs, or just to chat. I
I took lots of pics of myself , fellow freelancers, and Marvel and DC staffers. I’ll be posting those to Facebook and Instagram. Better late than never, huh? I also took some videos, and the plan was to take more and make a nice video for YouTube, but I found that walking around with a suitcase of art, and a backpack of art supplies made me fearful of dropping my camera. And once I was settled into Artist Alley, it was impossible to leave. If you leave you might miss someone coming by the table. I did have some friends watch the table for a while, but they couldn’t price the art, etc. I guess I could have had a table schedule, but… I didn’t. Next time.
Anyway, here are some of the sketches I did. If anyone is interested in commissioning a sketch, you can contact me through my website, Facebook, or Instagram.
Again, thanks to everyone’s support who made the show lots of fun and a success.
Back to the drawing board!
